Sounds like you went through the treatment with Interferon and I know several people that have and have heard how excruciating that treatment can be but how great it is to make it through and into remission. Glad you were able to tolerate that treatment and get better. I am thinking about how people leave but their minds take awhile to follow, like for you all, the money via tithing still went and then later you cut that off. I also realize that not all churches or religious institutions are parasitical. Some actually do care about their congregation, do not teach "follow the leader" and don't shear their "sheep" to the bone, or teach their congregations to be "sheep" but rather encourage self evaluation and critical thinking.
Sounds like that is what you have found and I am glad it is working for you.
