Can I ask you Perry how many Assembly of God churches you have personally been to? For you to make a sweeping statement, about the “cultic clutches of the Assemblies of God without having personal knowledge of the denomination itself is uninformed and personally offensive to me. I am a member of the Assemblies of God, very involved with the Assemblies of God, and received my BS degree from an Assemblies of God liberal arts university 1 month ago. From the account of one individual to conclude that an entire denomination which is the fastest growing denomination in the world is a cult, smacks of an unstudied Christian prejudice. You have poured an entire denomination into a mold. There maybe individuals that could be poured into your mold of “cultic clutches” or even some individual churches that can be poured into this mold, I don’t know I have no personal knowledge of them, do you? It’s early morning now and I’ve got to go to work, so I am running out of time to comment, but I can say the slap in the face I received this morning woke me up. For you or anyone else who would like to no about the denomination you refer to as having “cultic clutches” here is the web address. I know the cause of Christ does not interest you, but it was significant to me that in Kenya where there are great problems at this time where Assembly members were burned to death in one of the Churches there, 10 churches are planted a week and there are over 1,000,000 members there.
