Dear Perry...it's not rhetoric, but frankly you have sort of become dear to me, if you weren't here, I'd wonder what you do or are up to, not only in this world wide web, but also in real life, it kind of grows...on the other hand you & I are somewhat predictable, as far as the general frame of mind is concerned...I am not sure, whether you predicted my answers in particular, but you could be pretty sure, that I would use my Bible for any arguments, isn't that correct?
Also, since you deliberately posted this on the journey's board, I first took that to mean, that you wanted to get us "few" believers here out of the reserve with a kind of provocative headline.
Sure, it kind of literally stems from the article itself...but that's the stance of some believer, if I remember right...
How could any believer argue really more to a believing "crowd" than with what he/she perceives as the Word of God...would he rather chose the words of some mortal men over those stemming from the truly eternal & everlasting God?
Christian believers might have a string of other
academic merits & I personally appreciate their opinions (I have a book by a professor of theology, who before that earmed his PHD in mathematics, quite a combination, not even that rare...) and they might give you the answers on your academic/intellectual level, but would they betray their faith, if it happens to be a real one?
Therefore it's just semantics here, but the Spirit behind it should be the same. But frankly, I can't answer you on the academic level...CB could...she must be busy, but isn't that expecting a bit much here? & didn't I show some sort of agreement on a nonacadenic level?
And frankly, do you really care for the answer of any Christian...cause the question is rather rhetorical, rudimental and the answer obvious to you and me...btw. there is a discussion now on moving on about parents forsaking the kids quite sad in general the subject & in the course of the thread someone posted something of some supposed academic & his findings about sociopaths...did you read it, could you elaborate?
Anyway, I just gave you my few paisa worth of a comment...but actually I wrote for my million readers out there in www...holler...You, see I answered to the best of my "knowledge", but it didn't mean, I was so super convinced it would help you as an answer, for the very reasons you included in your response. But since the thread was started on journeys & you threw out the "bait", I thought it would be worse to remain silent as a christian believer...don't you think?
I don't know, why you think, that I'd need further
help in my Christian stance...I shall may be look at that link, but frankly, I did already answer you about that in another thread and my kids are
pretty much grown up now.I told you, that I never felt really like spanking them...as they were the most precious value on earth when they were young to me and even now I tremendously appreciate them.
I figure, my heart led me & taught me & not some website. But thanks anyway!
