It's complex, I admit...Don protested, as America's Christianity definetely has something better to offer as TF and one could debate, how Christian is TF really...for me they have some gnostic type of Christianity..I did google a bit about the Carpocracians in the past & I think there are similarities between that ancient Christian gnostic sect & TF...so whenever TF-members...especially Americans...witnesed abroad, what did they export?...of America?...the utmost dedication to the American lifestyle/luxury...I dared to doubt that...I think Berg wanted really to be different, rather non-American....the question is, whether TF wound up being really that different?...and there I'd say I "give you a hand"...since TF really didn't portray the "real, better" Christianity, they can be lumped together with many other Christians of the US who also portray Christianity wrong, however not in the same wrong manner as TF...but the West in general falls short of the higher goals...not just groups of & in the US...

And may be we can list all the things imported into the fields by TF, being western/American...I think another point was the dressing code...backward,conventional, conservative dressing style was frowned upon...was not "revolutionary"
