The guy at the swiss data-base is such a film-freak, that he immediately notices it, when Bollywood stole an idea from Hollywood...I wouldn't even notice ; )

I used to watch Indian dances prior to my TF time in India...& over there then I didn't even have the time to look at the Taj Mahal, although I was in Agra for witnessing...you know the seer sighter-stuff...used to have an old LP-record with Paul Horn playing the flute in the Taj...but I do think that classical Indian dance is way "too spirtual" for me with all their meaningful Hand-positions/fingerpositions...which I can't discern...those Mudras also exist partly in bellydancing, which I looked into once recently...

This video is a filmographical "dance"-tour around the world and to it's world wonders...the movie I have, but didn't watch it yet, it's supposed to be lame...often Indian movies are better remembered for their dances & songs.

(Miss World participating in that film Jeans...there are other Indian Miss Universes/world who participate in Hindi movies, making it nice to watch ; )...but of all she happenes to be the best contemporary Indian screendancer IMHO...except for Madhuri Dixit)
