I consulted the few old Greek dictionaries I have...(Biblesoftware/internet...would be next I guess)...but so far kefale as also the "head", source of a river or so...doesn't appear in the Bible...it seems...must be from poetry or ancient writers...in the cornerstone it also appears etc...so personally I wouldn't overemphasize this "source"-thing (my Bauer-dictionary is fairly good...to exhausting...suffices me most of the times)...speaking of the genetic stuff: I found it "funny"...that men have XY (women XX)...an ypsilon looks like an X...one branch/"rib"...missing...kind of
symbolic to me...scientist even said, that on the remaining part they figure the rest is a bit "crippled"...so to speak...if I remember that right...to the point that some wonder/"worry" about it

As far as I am concerned...as we're still not "perfected"...I think at least for the remaining time until HE comes again...we're supposed to keep that ordained order...in the flesh & blood-family anyway and even in the spiritual leadings of a local church...at times men are not available...or spiritually ignorant...like in Apollo's case...I see no problem from the Word...that in an individual case it could be different.

"Strange" I thought was their argument from the bigotry of society...really???...if anything, then modern,"unreligious" women can be that forceful, that they easily supercede/surpass many to most men...be it at work or at home...

Like I said in the thread...it's not a matter of their abilities...I guess it just pleases God to
respect that order...even the appearance of the Holy Spirit...I take that as the mother-figure...happens to be not before the father in mentioning (wisdom in Proverbs 8 e.g.)

All the best for your meeting
