I think an undying life in an eternal fantastic place with God is real, but I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about it, as it's quite beyond me to grasp. So I'm learning to enjoy this life while I'm here, have patience to overcome the tests of patience and pay the bills, raise my kids and earn a living while living the best that I can. Eternity will unfold of its own accord and my personal eternity probably has a great deal to do with how I live my life now, if I understand my Bible correctly.
I don't get very moved by thoughts of "rewards." Berg was into that a lot and outshining church people and having a bigger swimming pool in his heavenly mansion and blah blah. I figure heaven is great enought and aannnnywaaaayy....
Doing "good" only to get a paycheck or reward for it seems like a pretty selfish, self-centered motive. Why not do the right thing simply because it's right? And all the pieces will fall in place!
