except for how it harms others when people apply verses towards another persons orientation, labeling it as "sinful".
MG you seem to be totally oblivious of the impact LTE's statements has to me ...at least in my mind...taken to the extreme: the Bible/portions can be banned...because the text can be interpreted (even if there are other interpretations...not as valid, as I stated) as having something against homosexuals...meaning the Bible is outdated and "dangerous"...harming/potentially the mind of homosexuals...LTE's statement I understand that way, that labelling
homosexuality not practicable for people "interested" in the kingdom of God
It also seems to me, you kind of stepping in late into the debate...sorry for being blunt...cause I already said that initially to CB, that I diferentiate between the homosexuals civil right, whatever the majority considers correct, and the "immovable" perspects/prospects/aspects...taken from the Word...pertainig to the church/believers...and I would like you to consider my right to fellowship with those solely, who have the very same take on that issue and a whole lot of other issues...not my idea/will, that the Word of God continuesly gets diluted/polluted
I never said, that the guys kissing each others are illegal...please discern between civil rights and my will to submit to authorities...see Romans 13...thank you...
However I understand LTE's comment as a coveted "threat"...since I cannot help to think otherwise for people who choose to believe...I would tell them so...should I meet them or be confronted with it....therefore LTE's comment can be understood as a "plea" of activity against those who should tell at any instance someone, even a believer, that some conduct is not according to the Word....what then??...My reply then was, I have to endure what I don't like (similar to smokers, being a non-smoker), but they forbid me, what I mean well in the context given...I mean if they don't believe they can continue and see, whether God is in accordance "actually not my problem" ; )
no, but sometimes you're compelled to give your opinion or your feel led to warn others of possible implications...
Other people get sick to their stomachs when they see cars in traffic polluting the air. There's a solution: Go to the drugstore and buy a tummy upset remedy.
I find your analogy fairly "silly"...MG...why? Because even the governments of industrialised countries feel compelled to finally do something about the pollution factor...be it air or noise etc...it's not only one who suffers under it ...in some areas more...in others less...
You can't be a green activist ; )
My example was just born of the nuisance, that the people who are not agreeing are forced to go along...and by all means, if people can't help it...they should do what they can't prevent...after all it doesn't kill me...but I felt infringed in my right to tell what I think at places I consider appropiate. Please tell me that you also deny me that right??
Think about it...people could be "harmed" by my comments...as LTE contends...don't no how...but they say how much they suffered in the past by social/religious stimatisation etc...could be...
The Bible says...the righteous also suffers by having to live under the highly unrighteous...can I now file a complaint against the unrighteous??...ok, I could for all they do wrong/illegitemately/illegally...but so far I have the freedom of speech...in Europe it gets cut down if it is directed against minorities. You seem to argue more like a European by now ; )
This is basically the origin of the legislation that was introduced in Uganda that calls for the execution of people found "guilty of homosexuality"
Of execution I don't know yet...that is not NT anyway...as you should know...
"Gay rights has nothing to do with giving pedophiles any kind of rights."
Sorry, but you don't seem to be informed on that one...if my time permits me...I fill you in on that one...experts in clinical sexology etc have found for both pedophilia and homosexuality...there is no "medical cure" ...that is a medical fact by now...and e.g. the greens in Europe and Germany (Volker Beck...being a homosexual) and even Daniel Cohn-Bendit have thoughts in that direction...I have come across info in that direction....
That surprises you or what?Have you not understood through the Dutroux-case and others...that some very "wordly" people care a shit about the rights of children...the weak
That's why I said again and again on the board, that TF reminds quite a bit of the world/worldliness and not of a very good church...even if of such they seem to be now fewer and fewer in the world...my take...
