That's not really social science. It's more like an anthropological speculation.
Social science is stuff like survey sampling and statistics.
Social science could be used to examine religious beliefs and how they relate to social behavior, e.g., altruism. However, social science cannot determine the truth in a religious belief about the meaning of life--there is no scientific method able to do that.
