Ray, by posting your statement here and then following it with observations about Berg's doctrines I'm not trying to start an argument or make this a continuation of the discussion you and Lydia had below. I merely wanted to present food for thought and discussion. This is stuff we as exmembers need to consider and mull over.
I agree Berg started off orthodox and it's worth noting that he kept many of his heresies to himself for years so that for some time after he himself had gone weird, individuals in the COG kept their Christian doctrines fairly pure and could still witness the simple Gospel. But then the Letters came out on one point after another and changed all that for us.
