I really bonded with my students this year, especially some of the ones who stay in trouble with all the other teachers. Ha! But I certainly don't have more of a bond with them than I have with my own kids. That's why it seems strange to me that I would have this heightened sensitivity towards them, when there are probably needs in my own family that probably deserve just as much prayer.
Maybe because of all the prayers we've already prayed for our kids, there is protection and provision already in place, and that might not be the case with other people's kids.
