When I was in Indonesia with my three young sons and a W. German guy, the family dumped us for not having the proper clearance. That was very scary. And also good that we played music because that saved our butts. But there were so many uncanny things that happened that I guess i do believe in miracles and that they are relative to need. And we were so very needy and in danger AND away from the family for about 8 months!
But I also think they occur in other cultures with other beliefs, like in "A Far Off Place" (Reese Witherspoon). I suppose that means my basic belief now is that there is creative and destructive energies and apathy. And we are open to all of it.
So how is the Aikido going? :)
And if you do get a chance to read "The Talisman" it has some interesting parallels in it too. Like Sunny's place. Sunny is religious with a farm for troubled kids...
It is a very different read from most of King's work, and it is something you will know if you are interested in it after a few chapters.
Anyway. I guess you will be busy reading for awhile with the new Harry Potter book coming out?
