I liked what you said, Jo: Jesus was more into feeding and healing people, physically and mentally and spiritually,and in making whips out of little cords and driving merchandising hypocrites from the place of worship. Mind you, this same Jesus was the one who took the little kids on his lap and blessed them, and said if anyone offend one of these little ones --which the Family did bigtime-- then there was a millstone waiting.
No, I don't agree with burkhas or women covering their heads. Well, maybe with a wig if they're bald, but that's about it. I think some of those things, like Ray said above, were in cultural context.
