You know the fam. did so much crazy and abusive stuff that no wonder some "system" people have a hard time to figure that out. Especially when some mainstream recognized "Christian" media are pumping out their stuff.
About the biggest abuse of the fam. current leaders is to DENY the abuse and blame it on the victims of it, or say they are LYING. But that is so typical of the most heinous of abusers.
M&P need to read up on perpetrators. They would learn more real stuff about themselves than all of Linda Goodmans sun sign books or astrological personality charts could ever tell them.
When I worked with kids, the standard reaction of perpetrators of incest was to call the kids "Liars" even when there was undeniable proof. What boggles my mind is that there is a lot of truth and proof out there now about the fam. but so many are choosing to turn a deaf ear.
I think the fam. and other abusive "Christians" have done more to create a healthy appetite for atheism far surpassing their "good works".
On a more personal level, Donny, were you Christian before joining the fam? After getting out, did you have much support? Actually, I would be interested in answers to these questions from as many as want to answer. And for any that were born into it or their parents joined, just the latter question and maybe where your faith is at now.
