Yes, I guess we're saying the same thing about peace on earth to mankind. But where you really got my attention was where you said, "Could it be that it is like Ray explains, that there is a remnant protecting The Family as a whole from the wrath of God?"
I never read that. Did you say that Ray? If so is that based on Abraham praying if there were just ten righteous men in Sodom, God wouldn't destroy it?
In my opinion, the continued existence of the Family has nothing to do with God's blessing or even His mercy. It has to do with their skillfulness in lying in court, lying to the media and keeping their members from reading and believing the truth. I agree that there are sincer Christians in the Family, but the best thing those people can do is leave the Family. "Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins and receive not of her plagues."
We all know that Family leadership doesn't listen to internal criticism, whether by former top leaders by yourself, or any other top WC people like James Penn who said that trying to stop Maria and Peter's destructive madness was like standing on the train tracks trying to stop an express train. They never listen. So if true believers inside the group can't change it, if the leadership absolutely stops up their ears and refuses to listen, the movement doesn't change or repent, then there is no longer any purpose for people to remain inside in the well-meaning but hopeless hope of "changing the Family from within."
The sooner the Family dies the death as a structure and an organization, the sooner the people will be released. Babylon has to fall for the people to be set free, and they might as well be out of the way and out of the rotten falling roof of the house when it comes crashing down.
