I think that Jesus is the "good will" referred to by the angels. And also "peace on earth". The angels announced this at his birth. And if Jesus died for our "sins" so that we might be saved, he brought, imo, a solution to death or survival to all.
That being so, no one needs to be "God's Mouthpiece" anymore....
