I believe my daughter who is a dedicated CM member of the Family, truly loves Jesus, and believes the best way to serve Him is in the Family. I don't believe she's personally responsible for spreading evil.
I do believe she's controlled, and as a result there's a whole lot about Jesus and His Will that she's blind to. Like Ray says, just because P&M espouse such and such doesn't mean that everyone in the Family is convinced of it.
Most members of the Family are in poor countries now and they see first hand what other Christians missionaries are doing, and there's not so many real ones around, so the comparison tells them the Family's the best place to serve God as a missionary. Of course when they make the comparisons they make it through the lens of everything the Family cult has taught them about how they are the chosen ones.
