I know what you mean about innocence lost. You feel you were reallllly taken for a ride all those years. What's that recent movie, "Riding in Cars with Berg"? ha. But with our so-called innocence came a lot of naivatee, which I'm pretty glad to be over. We'll all once burned and twice shy, or maybe better put, sadder by wiser.
