At least while there is life there is always some hope. But from what you are saying it is as if the whole world would be better off never happening.
Also I don't feel that linking God's name to evil works is any worse then someone who does evil and leaves God out of the picture. Evil is just evil. Fighting evil and all its forms is something that never stops. It's horrible what happened to the children, but don't blame God, blame the stupid parents, it was their choice to be there.
Also how do you know God wasn't behind the court case that stopped most of the more horrible abuse. How do you know God wasn't in that?
If you look at the cults through out history, rarely the destructive ones last any longer then a few generations. Why do you think this is? Is it only because man wises up? Or could it be that God does care, and slowly surely works through the power of choice.
