Yes, making information available like on this site and MovingOn has gone a long ways to exposing the truth in a meaninful way, helping people make informed decisions, etc. And also helping those burned by the group to dump a lot of the garbage that was foisted upon them. And just to de-tox among others who've been through the Family experiences.
Yes, I suppose the Family has a right to exist and I may be able to say that with more conviction some day. But on the other hand I wouldn't be sad if they literally and really disbanded. Apart from those hurt by the Family, SGs in particular, it's the authoritarian structure that really galls me. As for their doctrines and beliefs, they're mostly just a joke.
