i believe in them. but that posits that i also believe in a universal ethical standard giver. and that this "u.e.s.g." has given mankind a way of accessing these standards. and that as a result, we are not free to make up whatever standards we may personally wish to adopt at will or choose from a list of multiple choices w/o reference to the giver.

the question then shifts to what evidence we have for recognizing the fingerprint of the giver.

personally i do believe that the giver has a place its giving heart for all. and this has been beautifully revealed. and continues to be revealed.

in (him) we live and move and have our being. the poet tells us we may feel after him and find him.

sorry if the "him" thro's you. madeleine l'engle uses the word "EL"...which may be easier to approach.

2 authors you might find helpful w/ a clear understanding of the feminist sensitivity, and the personhood of the creator God, are kathleen norris and anne lamott. these are folks you can really hang with. give em a try if you get a chance.
