as far as I know, denied or retracted 'The Girl Who Wouldn't'. If it is no longer a part of their belief system, they should make it an official declaration so that all who have been affected or involved with the writings in that publication will know where the Family stands now.

This is the Family's way, I saw it so many times during the 90s. Rather than officially retract or admit that something was a mistake, they black out the texts, burn the letters, pain bikinis on naked girls in children's publications. But they never admit that it was wrong, and so it still remains a part of their belief system.

Whatever the Family wrote 20 years later doesn't matter until they retract the original writings and clarify to the world that those practices or writings are not a part of their belief system.

I left 3 years ago, but I spent many years in places where decisions were made and changes put into motion. I spent much time around top leaders of the group, to my knowledge the Davidito book, and other publications which were removed from the general home libraries, or blacked out with marker or whited out with liquid white out, were never officially denounced. The only one time the Family ever denounced something was when they were forced to by the Judge in Britain in order to retain some sort of custody over Sammy.

They renounced Berg's writings and sayings in 'The Devil Hates Sex' where it is implied that sex between minors and adults was condoned. But (and my memory may not serve me right) it seemed to me that to the Family a BAN (burn after reading) publication was also put out to clarify that the Family HAD to do this but it doesn't mean they believed it was right and I took away the impression that if they had a choice, they would never have retracted Berg's teachings along those lines.
