Lydia, don't get me wrong I know far more about Christianity now than I ever did in the Fam. I also have great respect for the teaching of Christ and have also spent a lot of time reading the Bible. I did Biblical Studies 1 & 11 at Uni and even learnt some Hebrew. I love the Bible.
However, I cannot believe it is the WORD OF GOD for me or that I am supposed to live my life by it any more than I should live my life according to the Harry Potter books or the Koran. There is a lot of wisdom in the Bible and elsewhere. I do believe in do unto others and the only law (cosmic not earthly) is love REAL LOVE. But I also believe in mind, I don't believe in good and evil, and I love quantum physics. There's just so much knowledge out there to explore I couldn't possibly commit myself to one dogma or belief system or god.
I know too much about the Bible to believe what I used to believe now and in a way its a shame because innocence is a happy state but alas I am old and cynical now. Its really nice to hear how you feel lydia, if you're ever in town give me a tingle. Love Juni
