Wow! And the thing that thrills me is that what you have gone through probably also is the story of so many other people who have left the Family but aren't posting, but read this board maybe. I just get happy all over again thinking of idealist people like you returning to sane Christianity, sane life, and freedom! Time to celebrate!
I can sure identify with that mixed, floating feeling you had in the "loose tooth" stage when you didn't believe so much, but still wanted to get out the Family lit, the "wonderful" new pubs, etc. Then when you really take a close look at all the so-called greatest of the great Family pubs,you realize even the truest and best of it could be found in any number of other normal books. For example, someone here pointed out the "Ragamuffin Gospel" by somebody Manning I think. What a great book! After years of only reading Berg/Zerby/Kelly, it's high time to spread the horizons and read other books. Big ol' buckets of fresh air for the soul!
