Oh yes, another way that "system jobs" are somehow justified is when you need to "raise funds" for a visa trip or to "go on the field". So, it's the common thing to get a system job of say, modelling or helping with someone's wedding ministry to get some quick bucks. Raising support from your "Active" members is of course the more holy way, but you see, the Active members are already supposed to be tithing, so you almost are asking to "rob Peter to pay Paul". The places where there are many "Active" members (previously called "live-outs") are in catholic countries where they are already "churched" and need to feel they belong to a church. These people are pretty poor as you know. So, there was a few GN's about reaching the top again... called "Reach the Rich". Pretty clear, huh? In Africa, they got a little tripped off in reaching the rich because these rich were the Lebonese who had to bucks and loved our young girls! They would wine and dine them, take them out to private clubs and beaches, etc. These men were the home's "kings". So then some GN's came out about "Reaching Africa the Right Way"... hmmm...what is the "right" way? Maria said that they were getting too "tripped off" with their "CTP's and ministring to the poor too much. She said that the Family's ministry is to miniser the spirit and not the physical (remember Berg's letter "Cinema Cafe").
So, anyway, the way to live by faith, is somehow excused by the situation. There are some young people who are always "raising funds" to go "on the field" or they are helping someone else to raise funds. Or you have non-nationals who have to leave a certain field for visa purposes, and while in their home country, they "raise funds" for their ticket back or for their home's expenses. This is the modern version of living by faith!
