I think this may have arisen out of such cases where that guy was recently executed for killing the abortion doctor. He went to his death expeting rewards in heaven and he even had supporters for what he had done. They didn't view it as a crime.
He reminded me of the terrorists who kill innocent people and expect to get 5 virgins in heaven as one of their rewards. If you want to see some real hate crimes using religion, you should study up on Wahabism. (sp?) This is an extremist faction of Islam that is very strong in Saudi Arabia. I was shocked to read what they teach in their one-sided thinking schools. If there is a bill against such Bible believing hate, then there should be a complete ban on anything related to Wahabism. I believe there is even a school in N.Y. that is based on this religion. I'm sure there a lot of mosques where it is taught. Do a simple google search and you will be shocked. Americans and anyone loving their freedoms or worried about hateful ideas on the rise should be duly informed.
Of course, I am not saying that the bible is a hate filled book, but there are factions of Christians who use it that way - i.e., the anti-abortion killers. But isn't this true, so many wars are based on religion, but it's not the religion, it's man using religion as a justification. Look at how Berg was able to twist Christianity around so he could practice his fornication, perverted acts, sex with minors, etc., etc. When the bible is so obviously against that.
