Jo,
The U.S. Supreme court has recently affirmed the right of public school students to practice their faith at school. This lower court's opinion violates not only the highest court in the U.S., but the free speech and freedom of religion protections of the 1st amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prevent the free exercise thereof.
If a little child is allowed to give a pencil with a religious message to his classmates, congress has not established a religion. If this ridiculous ruling is allowed to stand, we may as well delete the 1st amendment.
I find your attitude frightening. As a student of history, I see similarities in your position and those of fascists, dictators, and others from the past who have suppressed freedom of speech and religion.
