Your rationalizations, Alan, remind me of a neighborhood friend of our family when I saw her at my mother's funeral. She first started talking about lesbians and said that some neighbors asked how she could rent her property to lesbians and she told them that "Well, they always pay the rent and they are nice people. I mean, it isn't like they are axe-murderers or anything.." I would laugh if it were not so sad.
There are many Christians that are not gay that accept homosexuals in their congregations just like they would anyone else. Why? Because they are just like anyone else! They can be promicuous, monogamous, criminal, law-abiding, and all the shades of gray in between. HOWEVER, by percentage, there are far more heterosexual pedophiles than there are by percentage in the homosexual population. And pedophilia being compared to natural sexuality (which, shock! does include homosexuals) is like comparing an axe-murderer with an average citizen.
Pedophilia is not about sexuality any more than rape is about love.
