Florida huh? I was there a couple of years ago just before a hurricane hit the coast. Do you know Melbourne? I still prefer the Pacific with real waves, ha! I bet you can only surf when the storms come :-)

And as far as politics go, I pitty the poor most of all. I have to say thats its incorrect to say that "the extremly biased news media, who are predominantly of the liberal persuasion" have tainted my views and fed my distrust of government. For one, I don't see the media as being liberal or conservative but being pretty much equally divided. For two, my views come from reading about history and the sharing of political power in democratic USA.

I see politics as an extension of religious views jsut as wars are extension of political and economical views. What is priority in one remains a priority at the next level. That's why I tend to avoid politics but I am willing to discuss principles and foundational issues. Popular politics of the type you get through the media is superficial and better named politicat posturing, it is for mass consumption because it avoids the fundamental philosophies, which I believe to be more important than the day-to-day Rush Limbaugh type of rethoric. I believe the reason they are so popular is because it feeds people's ego. It is too much like lilstening to the latest "MO Letter".

Wow, for a person who doesn't like politics I sure have a lot to say about it, don't I? Did you ever live in Panama?
