Yes that was the idea. Berg said forsake all, burn your bridges, and put yourself out on a limb and saw off the branch and wait for God to catch you, and tell all your friends and family about your great new life and make them make a decision if they are for or against you. He that is not with you is against you. Go home and ask for your inheritance and spoil egypt. After you succeed in cutting off yourself from your former life and making sure sure own family hates you and disowns you and you think about leaving, a few years have gone by and you can't find your way back to your old life anymore. I'm sure it was a very smart and calculated move on Berg's part, to get us all unable to leave.
