I believe Berg and Zerbe and other members of the fam's leadership have blood on their hands. I think the verse about it being better to have a millstone put around your neck and being cast into the sea applies to that bunch. God's got a millstone for each of them, and they will be cast into the lake of fire.
As far as nailing them on tax evasion...that would be very difficult, because they can hide behind their identity as a religion, which in the U.s. is tax-exempt. They can claim that their staff have all taken a vow of poverty, and work for free.
The most feasible way to nail them is for sexual crimes, for which there are plenty of victims who can testify, and COG lit that promotes the sex crimes. Heck, the fam still has rules at their web site which detail rules allowing minors to have sex with adults! For the life of me, I don't understand how they are still getting away with this!
