You made an interesting observation. For me, the ex-member boards are like a family to me (a REAL family!). In a "normal" family, everyone is an individual, but all have a common bond of blood. There are lots of family arguments and squabbles, but everyone respects their siblings or parents even though there is a difference of opinion. Things can get pretty hot in families, too! But, when all is aired-out, there is still love. A person will usually
still love and respect their own family's members, right? In a family environment, a person learns about society, how to survive, how to go about relationships, all in a secure environment. They have the security that even though they are different, they know they are loved and respected.
So, for me, the boards are my spiritual family. I
learn so much just reading the rants and various points. Even though people post under psuedo names, I feel it's okey... they need just need to learn to have more security. Leaving a closed society can sure be daunting.
Thanks everyone for being here. I learn so much!
