in the aftermath of involvement of an abusive highcontrol biblebased group it is not surprising that the "book" often gets buttonholed. besides being the all time best seller, it is no doubt the all time most misunderstood and abused text. i have been blessed by the insights of many thoughtful, articulate and liberated lovers of the nazarene, that have helped me see it thru much different eyes. it never grows stale, nor static when veiwed w/ different understanding. it is not a text on systematic theology, but rather a remarkable travelogue of fellow travelers in their interactions w/ the creator. and sheds light on the path we yet travel.

i read and enjoy many other books, some by followers of jesus, some not. all offer light. but in my opinion, the scripture offers a light of unique qualities, and quality. neither the cults nor the fundamentalists own it."the perfect law of liberty" is free. and alive... revealing to living hearts and spirits extraordinary insights.

it of course, cannot be properly appreciated when shoved down ones throat. but forgive me, i just gotta say, i think it is really good, and a "lamp unto the feet" that journey on.
