No, I'm just kidding. Well maybe half kidding. I think the book is pretty clear about some details of the ending. It's just my ending that's a question mark. That book has shed plenty of light on my path. It's not stale for me yet, I do continue to get somethng out of it. But for me, it's getting away from other people's interpretations of it, that help me most. I can't dive into it daily at this stage of my journey. I feel I need to get away from the clutter of peopletelling me what and how I should believe. I find new meaning to verses when reflectng on information I've tucked away from years of memorization. Since it's an all time bestseller, it is probably high up on "the all time most misunderstood and abused text."

When you said, "it is not a text on systematic theology, but rather a remarkable travelogue of fellow travelers in their interactions w/ the creator," you probably opened the door for having some quotes out of it being thrown at you! I'm sure there are some bible believers out there who would disagree, and have the sense of duty and energy to put into telling you exactly why.

"neither the cults nor the fundamentalists own it."

Right on!

"'the perfect law of liberty' is free. and alive... revealing to living hearts and spirits extraordinary insights."

Yes sir! You said it! I believe that "perfect law of liberty" is alive and breathing in all creation, not limited to some printed words in a book. There is so much that is beyond words, beyond verbal communication, that can only be experienced when the Spirit og the Creator touches your soul.
