i would agree that in seeking to reach out or influence those still caught up in the f. that one should be careful not to be drawn in to the delusion. but i do think Jesus judged matters on a case by case basis, and related in a personal way to each. (nicodemus, zaccheus etc.) his grip on truth was not shaken. even when in the end he was rejected by (most of)the religious leaders, his heart broke for them, weeping over their sad choice.

having "been there" myself as a "true believer" for many years, even after many friends had left, and having experienced love from even those exmems i had falsely judged, i hesitate to pull back my garment from those whom i love, despite their involvement w/ the darkness. i don't believe one needs to compromise one's convictions or bless oppression to maintain a heart of love. you never know who may be getting close to finally opening their eyes.

that may not be what you are talking about, but anyway, thought it might be worth saying.
