You didn't offend me Susie, so don't worry about that. I just thought that telling someone to "please keep with the program" was a putdown on personal beliefs.
You're so right about the Family's narrow-minded obsession with demons and how even common schizophrenia was called demon-possession. I've had schizophrenic friends, and one who went to a controlling church where the elders convinced his mom to get him "healed by faith" and part of their solution, of course, was to get him to stop taking his medications. Of course their stupid attempt failed miserably and the guy became really bitter against Christains. I wonder why.
When his mom talked to me a couple months before that event, she was stressing her son's need to "get the victory" over needing medication, and I tried to convince her that the medication was fine. I failed to convince her. I suppose she was sincere but sincerely misled. That church was so controlling. When a man was murdered on the doorstop of the Catholic church across the street, they were so anti-Catholic that they didnt' even go offer their condolences. But I digress.
Sorry about your brothers. I would NEVER choose a medicine dance over sane medication in the case of a schizophrenic.
