Wow. I am sooo glad that you are sharing your story, because it is a powerful truth. Survivor stories give me hope for humanity and help me keep my own demons at bay. There are days when I feel so overwhelmed by the injustice and violence in the world that I think, What's the point of standing up to this monster and facing it another day?
I have major depressive disorder, and there are times when it sneaks up and kicks me in the butt. It has always been helpful to hear other people talk about their journey and share the benefit of their experience, strength and hope.
