Maybe I'm just trying to stir up controversy here by reposting you kindagentler, but it seems you're giving me some help. Anyway, these are your valid feelings on the matter, albeit stated bluntly, so let's discuss them. You say, when people say "others will go to hell if they do not believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Sounds Al-Quaeda-ish to me."
But it's not just fundamentalist Christians who believe that Jesus is the way to salvation, is it? Jesus himself claimed to be the way and that people were "lost" without him. So is this unpopular belief the problem? Or is the problem religious people who push this stuff in others' faces?
I think this is a genuine observation and real question so let's open it to discussion.
