i think there is a danger of this... and not only do i probably do it myself, but also cringe when i see others do it!
but i think "witness" in the truest sense, is not about winning a convert, another notch on your stat chart.. but in the general sense, like in a legal sense, telling what you've seen.
still, i am always fascinated to hear the "witness" of people who have experienced things i have not, and genuinely enjoy insights of people coming from other perspectives, religious or otherwise. i was hoping you would for example , explain your comment on leaning towards reincarnation. i've never been able to get my head around that, despite many years in india. my favorite christian writers and philosophers often cite veiws of people from other traditions. why not? if God is truth, than all truth is God's truth. i don't think jesus gets insecure.. and may well have "amened" the buddha from time to time.
