I haven't read Bill Davis's book. Is this the one that was married to Deborah Davis? I see the family as something akin to 'Battered Women's Syndrome' and at times 'Stockholm Syndrome'.
I believe Bill Davis made a choice to join a cult and participate in everything that he did. I don't subscribe to that view.
I believe in Margaret Thaler Singer's view about it.
I am also not a Christian, and find that many Christian groups tend to blame women (the Eve syndrome) and people in general when anything bad happens, and believe only God is responsible for good things.
