When we say, *have several turns at the same local topic, especially in the same thread* we're referring to a scenario where a poster named, say, Harry, is arguing with a poster named John. Harry first argues under the name Harry, then posts as Exmember under his own post, agreeing with it and giving an URL, then posts as Harry again thanking Exmember (himself) for the URL, then when John posts a rebuttal, Harry posts as Enraged Parent, broadsiding John. Then he posts again as Harry saying *Not so harsh, Enraged Parent* etc. John thinks he's arguing with three people, but it's really only Harry.
