good, that you had strength & conviction to move on, when they were young.My son was 1 1/2 at that time of forsaking all in the right direction...
However I didn't leave the habit of reading the Bible to them...I needed myself feeding & I took the opportunity, to pass things on...later I thought, it'd be more beneficial for them, if they had kind of a christian surrounding/environment, friends their age with christian background.That was very important to me & with my son I see it's the same for him, being 16 now....otherwise I think I'd be "scared", what kids could get into...
