I understood Acheick to say that she liked reading things that lay out what the general options are, scripturally, and let the READER decide where the evidence leads, based on further individual study -- rather than being told by someone else what she must believe.
When I wrote this paper, I chose the subject because it's something I had wanted to research anyway. Knowing the origins of conflicting systems of interpretation of prophecy helps me to see things in perspective, and to make sure I haven't overlooked something important in my own conclusions. I posted it here in hopes that it might be instructive for others, as well.
