A few years back, I saw a therapist for a while, to help me deal with some of the CRAP my family and I went through in the group. I specifically asked for a non-Christian.
It was helpful to talk to someone, but I felt he didn't really realize what I'd gone through. He thought that as long as none of my family was in prison, or heavy into drugs or alcohol, that we were okay. As long as everyone was working a steady job and going to school, it couldn't be that bad. Oh well.
One of the things that shocked him almost more anything else I told him was when I mentioned that the group prayed against people. He could not believe it. It really is insane, you've got to admit.
Personally, I don't think God answers those kind of prayers, and I think that all that bad energy comes back to the person sending it out.
