If I had not met the family, I would have ended up dead in some obscure corner of the world. Not only I learned about God and a spiritual life while in TF but I also learned many other important principles that have helped me through my life outside TF.
The first time I said that, I was blasted for giving TF any credit at all. I believe it was God using them but I also believe that no other outfit would have been successful to reach me in the state I was. So I see the Hand of God in that.
By the same token, I am aware that even after years of having left, I still have to deal with some thought patterns and behaviors that I can trace to Berg's Letters and Family teachings. On some cases I even went to the other complete extreme, which I found it was also total extreme and equally incorrect.
But the most important part this, what makes it so obvious, is in my social interactions. What is good comes as real good and what is bad comes out as really bad. I have learned through my mistakes that without this social interaction and those mistakes, I would have never found out how bad TF's teachings really were.
And I am still learning.
