And then there's the Bardo...

Forty days of walking alone in the post-life wilderness. See the Tibetin Book of the Dead. Christian scriptures don't contain every last bit of wisdom that the Word-Among-Us has revealed to mankind. And you WILL find Christian scripture that supports the inclusion of other cultural worldviews.

I pray for those who have passed on without ceasing. The paternal grandfather of my children passed over to the Bardo just two days ago. He was a man deeply filled with fear. He was severely sexually abused as a child. He drove his family into bankruptcy with his insatiable need to assuage his denial of fear with the irrational acquisition of material things. He was good for the Amerikan economy, even if he was no damn good to his wife. He was a WWII vet who lived beyond the explosion of bombs in his face to wrestle with the amoral terrors of war for the rest of his life.

Namaste! May his soul rest in peace.
