I got exposed to that too through a good friend of mine. Actually it was also the wife who got started in a similar way. A few months later (we didn't take it) he told us they had to let it go because not only they had lost some moeny but also a good number of friends. That ol' dollar bill got too close to their eyes. I am still looking for an innoculation against cults (maybe a small house cult might do it?) (for get it, what a horrible thought).
Thanks for the one post below. I think anything that deprives the individual from individuality can be viewed as a cult. I am not sure this is right because then to explain the long permanence of some in the cult one must admit that there are some personality traits that need the cult.
