Imo, Porceleindoll, figuring out who you are is improving yourself. I think it was Socrates who said, "An unexamined life is not worth living." You are examining your self, your life, your beliefs, your values, etc., and you will be better for it. Too many people of faith stop that self-examination (if they ever started), particularly Christians who are taught that there is nothing good about their selves. And if they dare not examine their own lives honestly, how much less will they be able to question their religion that they place so much faith in.
