Sorry Perry, but I don't agree...lots of Christians (by label or "possession") analyse themselves...remember the OHR?... should have a glance, how many weekendetc.-seminaries are offered by the various Christian groups.
The Christian realises/sees, that all he ever had/has came into his life, as burden/task or blessing, gift, challenge etc....he just learned, whom he is supposed to thank for it...& if he/she accomplishes anything good, he /she still enjoys it, but refuses to bath in that selfglorification, idolising of men or self.Good is fun in itself.I don't think TF invented it:it doesn't matter who's right, but what is right & to the Christian it comes by "instinct", that God is in the end always right, even if it looks awful in the meantime, much alike to my meals I cook ; )
