depends what country ur talking about when you say that the church doesn't control women's reproductive organs because many catholic women use birth control regardless of what the pope thinks (actually, he doesn't just think, he dictates). plenty of women around the world are trapped by catholic dogma regarding their reproductive organs and are forced to adhere to church doctrine on birth control. I've lived in some of those countries, and seen the poor pop out baby after baby that they couldn't afford to take care of. In some cases I think that is just as vile as female circumcision (don't worry, I know that doesn't involve reproductive organs, per se, but there is hardly anything more horrific)
Sure there are wonderful people that go to catholic church, there are varying degrees of believers in any religion, and my guess is that a large percentage of people worldwide who identify as catholic are fairly nominal when it comes to being catholics, perhaps more so than in other religions. but that doesn't excuse the church from its abominable treatment of women in general.
